The surface
of the land was approximately 7.240 m2, from east to west 120 m and from north
to south 56,9 m, concrete was placed 16.7 m below street level. The basement
was 10.6 m below street level. The base of the building are he first five
floors over the street. Entrance is four floors above street level. From the
five floor the building goes straight to the floor 86 and the steel structure
has a weight of 60.000 TN.

the 5th Avenue is made of Hauteville marble and decorated with Art Deco
decorations. Outside the building 930 m2 of Pink Marble were used along with
27.900 m2 of Hauteville marble as well.
CURIOSITIES
The most
famous and well know scene of the building is probably King Kong at the top
with a blond woman in his hands and airplanes shooting at him.

HISTORY
The work began on January 22, 1930. There were 3600 workers, most of them were Europeans Imigrants,killed 5 workers. The building opening on May 1,1931,but when there was the ignaguration many offices were free because of 'The big depression`. The intention was to have the world's tallest building.
The typical
needle of the building, it was initially to be an airport for airships. Floor
102nd. Was a landing platform with a path for the travelers. The
idea was dangerous and they decided to build instead a tower emissions.
In 1945, a
fighter plane crashed with the Empire State and 14 people were death.
It was for
23 years the highest building in the world.
There had
been more than 30 people that committed suicide in the building. One time a
person jumped from floor 86th. and the wind was so strong it got smashed on
floor 85th.
This building has in total 106 floors.

Empire State Building
The higest building in New York is a 102 storey office tower in New York City . This name comes from the name of New York, the Empire State.It was designed by the architectural firm Shreve , Lamb and Hermon. . It was created during the Great Depression , and manpower was more pit tans and therefore it creates only 410 days, 3,400 works on both worked together.
